Abstract

This article aims to analyze the work of the pianist and composer Tenório Júnior, drawing historical and social parallels about the moment when the musician recorded his only solo work in 1964. Will be considered the influences that were present in this work as well as the impact of the album Embalo on contemporary Brazilian instrumental music.
