COVID-19, H1N1 INFLUENZA AND DENGUE: EPIDEMIOLOGICAL AND PROPHYLACTIC ASPECTS IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF PALMAS – TO

Introduction: COVID-19, H1N1 flu, and dengue fever are diseases that, each in their intensity and manner, pose major challenges and concerns for national health. Objective: to verify the prevalence of COVID, H1N1 in Palmas-TO. Methodology A descriptive study was carried out with primary and secondary data, using the municipality of Palmas, the capital of the state of Tocantins, as the unit of analysis, based on records of COVID-19, H1N1 flu, and dengue fever. Use of data referring to the period from 2021 to 2022. Results and discussion: In January 2021, vaccination against COVID-19 started in Palmas-TO. Comparing the number of deaths from COVID-19 in Palmas-TO between epidemiological weeks 1 to 30 in the years 2020, 2021, and 2022, the reduction of deaths in the year 2022 compared to 2021 is clear. dengue and COVID-19 until epidemiological week 30 of the year 2022, it is clear that the peak of dengue cases occurred in the 1st epidemiological week with 749 cases and that the peak of cases of COVID-19 occurred in the 5th epidemiological week with 4211 cases. In the period between 06/01/2021 and 07/12/2022, no detectable cases of H1N1 Influenza were registered in Palmas, Tocantins. Conclusion: Regarding the correlation of COVID-19 with dengue, it was noticed that the pandemic may have negatively influenced the tracking of this arbovirus.
