Considerations on ethics today: great emphasis on the health care workers

Abstract

The need for appropriate ethical regulations to rule the individuals´ behavior is as old as the social interaction itself; it is a highly contemporary topic if we take into account the frequent ethical challenges most people face in the present society. Within that context, this paper has considered the current ethical problems, particularly those concerning the professional ethics in the teaching situation and in the practice of medicine as well as those ethical aspects related to the healthcare workers. Those elements have been presented as an attempt to make the health professionals more and more capable to recognize, understand and discuss the importance of this infuse science in their daily personal and professional lives. The latest arguments reveal that the learning and the constant improvement of interpersonal aspects of health care is highly relevant in the teaching process and in practical procedures as far as health professionals are concerned.
