This paper has analyzed persistent upper canine impaction taking etiology, diagnosis and treatment into account. Our concern about this subject is related to how relevant this particular tooth is to dental arch in functional and aesthetic aspects, and what pathology it may originate as well as how often its incidence occurs. Based on reviews and comparison among researcher's findings, we have found out that the main causes for persistent upper canine impaction are wining eruption, either extended retention or earlier loss of the deciduous teeth, chonological order and form anomalies of adjoining lateral incisors. The diagnosis is based on clinical and radiographic tests and the treatment is subjected to the tooth location.Downloads
