Dens invaginatus, known as dens in dent too, is a development anomaly that presents an alteration in the form, volume or structure of teeth and can affect its crown and root. The characteristic invagination in the crown of teeth with this anomaly can create a communication between the oral cavity and the pulpar cavity, carrying irritants and requiring the endodontic treatment _ which is difficulted by its complex anatomy. This article reports a case of dens invaginatus where only the central canal was necrotic and still presenting partially erupted (retarded eruption), making difficult the absolute isolation and, if it was necessary a posterior intervention on the other channels, the access for the endodontic treatment. Therefore, it was chosen the orthodontic traction of the tooth, which put it back it in the superior arch too.Downloads
