Supernumerary teeth may occur in both dentitions, but they are more frequently seen in the permanent dentition and in the maxillary anterior region and the exact etiology is still obscure and not well understood. They may be single or multiple, but multiple supernumerary teeth are rare. These teeth can cause problems for the eruption and the alignment of normal dentition. This report describes a case of a 8 years old boy presenting a supernumerary tooth between upper central incisors and the case initially required only surgical treatment to remove the two mesiodens. Sequentially, the patient was referred to an orthodontic therapy.Downloads
