Information in health: subsidies for the characterization of offers of phonoaudiological services at the Public Health System in Salvador.

Abstract

This article reflects on the information in health divulged by the Federal Health Department’s website – DataSUS. Secondary data were colleted with the objective to describe the offer of phonoaudiology in the public health system in the city of Salvador. We could verify that the available information need to be revised, since offers divulged by the website showed an excess of more than 50%; however we consider useful the information obtained, because when they are conferred for validation, they can be important source of information that transformed into knowledge helps the awareness of the citizens and the taking of decision of the managers.
