Cerrado - genetic variability - conservation strategics, biodiversity extinction.Abstract
This article reunite some studies that have been developed with the intention of to analise the genetic variability in vegetal species present in the Brazilian Cerrado. The region of Cerrado shows large faunistic and floristic diversity in its different vegetal physiognomy. The unknown potential of use of natural resources, the disregard to the laws of environmental protection, the burning and the intensity of agricultural explotation has caused irreparable damage in the soil, fauna, flora and in hydric resources, implicating the maintenance of that ecosystem and placing many animals and vegetal species in extinction risk, principally the native fruits. This species and other animal species are intensitly exploited and hunted. To analise the genetic variability of those populations is very important, because it generates grants for the development of conservation strategies of these species that inhabit the Cerrado, a place considered very muchthreatened and classed asa hotspot of biologic diversity. In this work it is intended to present some studies with vegetal species of Cerrado in Conservation Genetics.Downloads
