Artistas circenses: importância na cultura brasileira e questões jurídicas relevantes

Resumo

Este artigo tem por objetivo descrever a estrutura jurídica que protege e regulamenta a profissão dos artistas circenses. Para conseguir tal intento foi necessário a análise da legislação existente e o confronto com pesquisa de dados para tentar avaliar se o que está positivado encontra-se sendo cumprido pelo Poder Público. Será analisada a natureza jurídica do contrato de trabalho do artista circense. No presente estudo será debatido ainda a implementação de políticas públicas culturais com vistas a beneficiar os artistas circenses e suas famílias. PALAVRAS-CHAVE: Cultura. Artista circense. Circus performers: importance in Brazilian culture and relevant legal issues ABSTRACT: This article aims to describe the legal structure that protects and regulates the profession of circus performers. In order to achieve such intent, it was necessary to review the existing legislation and to collect empirical data in order to evaluate if the Government is fulfilling what is required by that legislation. The legal nature of the employment contract of the circus artist will be analyzed. In the present study will be further discussed the implementation of cultural public policies in order to benefit the circus performers and their families. KEYWORDS: Culture. Circus performers.
